Radiesse was designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are around the mouth and nose. Radiesse has become a popular choice among patients because the results are long-lasting. Patients have seen the effects of the treatment last up to two years.
The Radiesse process begins with a consultation from our expert staff of doctors or nurse injectors, and all of the procedures are performed in house. The Radiesse procedure takes between 30-45 minutes. Radiesse is injected into the targeted area with a small needle. The injectable is a compound of medically safe ingredients composed of calcium and phosphate ions that are naturally found in the human skin. Carbon, oxygen and hydrogen also make up the filler that will remain permanently into the injection site.
Some swelling may occur but will usually subside within 36 hours. After Radiesse, you can resume day-to-day activities immediately. Patients are asked to keep away from direct sunlight. If bruising occurs, it may last up to a week.
