How does VASER Shape work?

The VASER Shape uses dual head ultrasound to target the unwanted fat directly underneath the skin.  The ultrasound waves produce a “cavitational effect” over the tissue to promote fat loss. This means that the variable pressure of the ultrasound produces microbubbles that disrupt the fat cells.  It only attacks the unwanted fat deposit, leaving the adjacent structures such as skin, blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue intact.  

 

How does the body get rid of the fat after a VASER Shape treatment?

VASER Shape’s unique ultrasound treatment breaks the membranes of the fat cells and the fat cells burst.  The content of the fat cells are transported through the vascular and lymphatic system to the liver.  The liver processes this fat through the natural metabolic process to eliminate it from the body.  This elimination is assisted by the lymphatic drainage handpiece on the Vaser Shape.

The first session will take a full hour for one area.  After that, each session will be just under an hour.  The number of treatments that you will need will depend on a number of factors including your desired results.  Some guests will get the desired result after one treatment and others may want even more body shaping and will have multiple treatments.  We encourage you to book a complimentary consultation!  

 

What kind of care is required after the treatment?

There is no special care required and no downtime.  You can immediately return to your daily routine. You should not have any pain or discomfort after the treatment. It is recommended to maintain adequate hydration before and after the treatment.  

 

What is the advantage of the VASER Shape over diet and exercise alone?

The approach is different.  With a diet and exercise, you can reduce non-specific weight, which is often appropriate. VASER Shape directly affects your problem area, where diet and exercise alone is not working.  VASER Shape is the solution.  It selectively removes stubborn fat deposits, thus, giving you a better body contour.  

 

What should I expect during a VASER Shape treatment and what does it feel like?

Your treatment will start with us opening up the lymphatic channels, which aids in the excretion of fat after the treatment. We treat the desired area with the dual-head ultrasound hand piece, and you feel a warming of the skin in the area being treated.  We monitor your skin throughout the treatment, checking for mild redness and skin temperature.  Once the skin has reached the desired endpoints, we treat the same area with the lymphatic hand piece. This facilitates lymphatic drainage of the fat tissue.  

 

Are the results permanent after the VASER Shape treatment?

The fat cells that are treated with VASER Shape are thought to be completely destroyed (permanent).  The reduction in fat should be long-lasting if you maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle without any significant weight gain.
